Saul Bezner collaborated with the Palau Automated Land and Resource Information System (PALARIS) to develop a public data hub for easier access to geospatial data and services.
During the project with PALARIS, student consultant Saul Bezner played a key role in launching a public data hub and interactive platform. This new platform allows users to access geospatial data directly, reducing the burden on PALARIS staff and improving access for external entities, including government agencies and the public. By shifting data requests from phone or in-person requests to an online platform, PALARIS staff can now focus on long-term projects. Saul also conducted training sessions with the staff to ensure they could update and manage the website and implemented new standard operating procedures (SOPs) for data management. The data hub represents a improvement in the accessibility and distribution of geographic information across Palau, supporting better decision-making and resource management for the country.
