Vipasha Awasthi (Palau, National Development Bank of Palau, NDBP)
Vipasha automated monthly reports and proposed a business continuity plan for the National Development Bank of Palau, an island country located in the western Pacific Ocean.
The National Development Bank of Palau provides commercial and residential loans to Palauan citizens. They had recently suffered from a ransomware attack which disrupted their operations and put their data at risk. The CMU student developed a business continuity plan covering their ongoing operations and emergency processes for the bank. She created a technical backup and recovery plan to be deployed when the appropriate funding is made available. While there she also automated several monthly reports, reducing the required time to create the reports from a full day to 15 minutes.
