Pavan and Jeevika deployed a new classroom supplies procurement application for the Ministry of Education in the Republic of Palau, an island country located in the western Pacific Ocean.
The Ministry of Education (MOE), responsible for the public school system and the national educational curricula, was having trouble keeping track of paper orders, deliveries and receipts for teacher’s classroom supplies. The CMU students developed four modules to track requisitions, receiving, distribution and inventory management for MOE classroom supplies. The students tested and implemented the solution on the MOE intranet and trained the IT manager to maintain and support the new application. The result is a customized paperless system to accurately track classroom supplies in accordance with required ministry of finance forms.
