Max installed a new document management solution (DMS) for the Foreign Investment Board (FIB), an organization that ensures that foreign investment truly works for the Republic of Palau, an island country located in the western Pacific Ocean.
The Foreign Investment Board (FIB) vets incoming foreign investment in Palau and audits already established foreign-owned enterprises for regulatory compliance. These processes result in a vast amount of paper documentation, creating inefficiencies in storage and retrieval. The CMU student researched, evaluated, selected and implemented a commercial document management system (DMS) and developed and deployed a website for clients to complete forms and submit documents. The result is a fully digitized platform onto which new investors can submit their proposals and onto which FIB staff can scan and store existing paper documents.
