I was on my way to 50 min-walk PPR to use the gym and it started raining.
It was actually quite nice to walk in the rain, listening to ‘All out of Love’ by Air Supply on the radio. I probably won’t have this much freedom in my life and my mind to enjoy these once I leave Palau.
Anyhow, some car hunked and said they’ll give me a ride. Since the rain was getting little heavier, I took the offer. After a short conversation, I found out that the driver was a senator and the gentleman sitting on a passenger seat was his friend from Hawaii.
They were heading to PPR for a Ministry of Finance reception with the President Tommy and the minitry from the rest of the Pacific islands.
The senator told me MOE’s director is his classmate and gave me his business card.
He talked about internet broadband project that he wanted to discuss with MOE director Emery. He suggested holding a meeting with the director, him, and I to discuss the matter.
I introduced Edmund and his specialty so he’ll get to meet Senator as well. =)
The senator was saying that he’s really glad that they picked me up and that it’s so fortunate that I turned out to be someone working for Palau. He told me that it’s an amazing thing what we are doing here.
I was again so impressed by someone like him with such a gentle attitude.
And it was an honor to receive such a grateful comment for what we are doing here.
And, one more name on my network list =)
